Lucas grew up in Madison, North Carolina and began racing when he was only 8 years old. He got his start at the local go-kart competition and has worked his way up to the UARA STARS touring series. This is only the beginning for the very talented and dedicated #46 UARA driver - he has his goals set on NASCAR.
When Lucas isn't on the track, he is working at the Ransone Racing shop in Taylorsville, North Carolina. But like any other good country boy, Lucas loves to spend some time fishing or kicking up some dust on his dirt bike. During the school year Lucas attends a private high school in Virginia where he will be sophomore in the fall of 2006. In the past he has played on his school's basketball, baseball and soccer teams. Last year he even received Most Improved Player!
If you ask Lucas why he loves racing, you might not get the answers you expected. Other than the adrenaline rush and the fast pace of competition, he enjoys his weekends at the track because it brings his entire family together. Ransone Racing is a family owned team, at the hauler you can usually find his mom feeding the team a delicious home cooked meal and his dad and grandfather in the mix of things working with the pit team. And though his talent and passion for racing in his blood; God is number one in his life.
